Becoming a Member
When you become a member of the Sukanen Ship Pioneer Village and Museum, you have joined a hard-working group of volunteers dedicated to the preservation of our pioneer history. Founded in 1969, the museum continues to grow and develop, mainly due to the efforts of people like you.
Structure
The museum is a non-profit organization governed by a President and a board of ten Directors. The Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer are chosen from the Board and the past-President is automatically a member for one year.
Meetings
The Directors meet on the first Tuesday of each month and General Meetings are held on the second Tuesdays from January to November. meetings are held at 7pm at the W.J. Jones & Son Family Resource Centre, 262 Athabasca Street East, unless members are notified otherwise. Members who provide an e-mail address will receive electronic copies of meeting minutes.

Dues
Dues are set each year at the Annual Meeting and must be paid by the April General Meeting .
Elections
The Annual Meeting is held each year in November. You are eligible to vote after ninety (90) days of membership and eligibility for an executive position requires active membership for two (2) of the last three (3) years.
